NYC Ferry Construction Management

Hornblower Marine took on a comprehensive role in the design, financing, construction, regulatory approvals, delivery, commissioning, and ongoing operations and maintenance of the NYC Ferry fleet. This ambitious project required the construction of an extensive aluminum hull ferry fleet, comprising four distinct vessel designs, managed simultaneously across six different shipyards. The initiative was a significant public-private partnership valued at $240 million, involving the design and construction of 38 vessels in under 4 years, underscoring Hornblower’s expertise in large-scale maritime infrastructure projects.
