Conversion Details
The DAVID WINSLOW has been equipped with two state-of-the-art Baudouin 6M26.3 P1 diesel engines, providing a combined output of 1,200 horsepower. These engines are EPA Tier III compliant, ensuring that the vessel adheres to current environmental and emission standards, significantly reducing its environmental impact.
As part of the upgrades, an upper wheelhouse was added to the DAVID WINSLOW. This structural enhancement improves visibility and control, enhancing the vessel’s operational efficiency and safety, especially in complex maneuvering scenarios.
The vessel was outfitted with two new Nabrico DF-1-30-11R-NORF_M4 face winches. These robust winches enhance the tugboat’s towing and mooring capabilities, making it well-suited for the demanding operational environments it encounters.
The old 20kW Delco generator sets were replaced with two 30kW Kubota KK3 generator sets, also Tier III compliant. This upgrade ensures a more reliable and efficient power supply for the vessel’s electrical systems, boosting its operational readiness and sustainability.
